Why Golden Numbers Are Priced at a Premium
Golden numbers have been around for many years.
Golden numbers have been around for many years, though they are still a relatively unknown concept in the U.K. The first golden numbers were in the 1980s as a way to get status symbols in a time when most people didn't have phones at home or at all. Since then people want certain numbers because they have special meaning or personal significance.
The demand for golden numbers is there and the supply is usually quite low.
The demand for golden numbers is there and the supply is usually quite low. Sure, there are plenty of potential golden numbers out there but not all are readily available for sale. Golden numbers are more expensive than other numbers because demand far outstrips supply. Why? Because they're easy to remember. And if you're a business owner looking to promote your brand, using a "golden number" can be an effective marketing tactic—for example, my business uses a repetitive phone number that's also easy to repeat out load because it's easy to remember!
People buy golden numbers for different reasons.
When it comes to purchasing a golden number, the reasons people go ahead with the purchase can be broken down into two categories:
- Business. If you're in business, a golden number might be an excellent way to make money. You can offer your customers something that no one else is offering them and use this as a selling point at which point they'll likely pay more than they normally would for whatever it is you're selling (and if not, then maybe they just don't want what you're selling).
- Personal. For some people, numbers are purely personal—they use them with friends and family. That's why our customers usually go for truly meaningful, lucky or religiously-symbolic numbers. In this case, buying a golden number is not just about putting yourself above everyone else who doesn't have one because it makes you feel good about yourself - but something that is personalised to your taste.
Companies selling golden numbers were NOT created equally.
If you've opened this article, it's probably because you're interested in the most expensive phone numbers of all time. To briefly explain: a golden number is a high-value mobile number due to it's rarity and desirability. But why are these numbers so expensive?
Well, there are several reasons why individuals and businesses invest good money in purchasing golden numbers:
- It lets them show their appreciation for their friends, family or acquaintance by gifting them something truly unique and bespoke;
- It shows off their wealth and power by being able to afford such an expensive product; and
- By attracting potential customers who will more easily identify with your unified brand —and they'll tell other people about it too!
To match the product, companies must also provide a golden service that rises to the occasion. British Numbers excels in that regard - we have access to the most mobile number ranges, at the most competitive prices in the market (guaranteed) and the slickest customer experience through smart deployment of technology. We automate all the boring, admin work to focus on developing a product and service that meets all our customers' diverse needs.
Golden numbers are usually more expensive than regular numbers, but can be paid in monthly installments.
Golden numbers are usually more expensive than regular numbers, but you can pay for them in monthly installments.
If you choose to set up a monthly payment plan, you will still have to pay the same amount of money each month. However, since the total cost is spread out over several months instead of all at once, it may be easier on your budget because there's less pressure to come up with the money right away. This will also help prevent buyers' remorse later on if they want another number that costs even more than their current one!
Some of the most expensive golden numbers have sold for hundreds of thousands of pounds, and even one that sold for several million pounds!
Some of the most expensive golden numbers have sold for hundreds of thousands of pounds, and even one that sold for several million pounds!
The most expensive golden number was sold for £2.4million in 2006. The second most expensive was sold for £1million in 2008. The third most expensive was $1million, but it came from a different auction house, Bonhams (which implies it wasn't quite as rare). It's worth mentioning that both Bonhams' and Christie's were selling their own version of this particular number at once—and they were both selling at nearly identical prices! That said, I'd say the odds are very likely that there are only a few people who actually want to own this number; which means you probably aren't going to see any more sales like these anytime soon (which makes sense).
Golden numbers come in various forms and different prices.
There are many different types of golden numbers, and they come in a wide range of prices. Some are more expensive than others, but if you have the money to spare, they're all worth it!
